Neuro Nation is a speech pathology practice built on a simple belief - that communication belongs to real life, not just the clinic room.

We work in the space between brain science and being human - at different stages of life, in the real contexts where communication actually matters. The person, the people around them, and the places they belong.

We start from the person in front of us - their brain, their nervous system, their relationships, their environment - and ask what needs to supported to enable genuine and effective communication.

We take a strengths-based, affirming approach to assessment and therapy. We recognise that different types of brains have different preferences, abilities and support needs.
We love working with clients that identify as Autistic, ADHDers, Intellectually disabled and other neurodivergences.
We have a strong focus on education, relationship building and client-led skill development.

Neurological Conditions
We offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment of communication and swallowing impairments following Stroke and Brain Injury.
We offer assessment & management of communication and swallowing changes related to Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Functional Neurological Disorder and other neurological conditions.

Hi, I'm Shannon Chalk.
​
I'm the Founder & Director of Neuro Nation Speech Pathology and a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP).
I have worked as a Speech Pathologist across Health, Private Practice and Disability sectors for the past 18 years. My work as a Speechie lets me combine my two passions - people and the brain!
I have extensive experience working with clients following Stroke, Brain Injury and Progressive Neurological Conditions. I also have a special interest in the wonderful world of Neurodiversity and love working with people that identify as Autistic, ADHDers and other neurodivergences.

Neuro Nation Speech Pathology delivers only the highest quality Speech Pathology services to our clients. We have a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and offer person-centered, holistic therapy approaches. At Neuro Nation, membership to Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) is mandatory and all staff participate in SPA's professional self-regulation (PSR) program to ensure we are setting the highest standards of practice possible.
